The top-line GLS Sport is discontinued, but the GL and GLS receive extra standard features. Known in other world markets as the i30, the Elantra Touring is a different vehicle from the Elantra sedan. It uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with five-speed manual or optional four-speed automatic transmission. Trim lines are the L, GL and GLS. Features on the L include 15-inch steel wheels, cloth seats, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input and USB port, four speakers, black manual mirrors, floor mats, vanity mirrors, variable intermittent wipers, intermittent rear wiper, power locks, driver’s auto-down window, map lights, rear centre armrest, sunglass holder, and tilt steering wheel. The GL adds air conditioning, anti-lock brakes with brake force distribution, front centre console with storage box, active front head restraints, heated seats, power heated mirrors, keyless entry, driver’s seat height adjuster, and cruise control. The GLS adds 16-inch alloy wheels, six speakers, cooled glove box, cargo-area power outlet, illuminated vanity mirrors, driver’s seat lumbar support, leather-wrapped steering wheel, power sunroof, rear spoiler, fog lights, body-colour mirrors, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, Bluetooth connectivity, windshield de-icer, and trip computer.
